Gwent police are asking for “anyone with information” about a charity tin stolen from a Well Pharmacy branch to come forward.

The force “received a report of the theft of a donation tin at around 10.25am on Tuesday July 9”, it told C+D yesterday (July 15).

The “charity donation tin was taken from the Well Pharmacy in Llanbradach”, it added.

The funds were taken “sometime between 4pm on Friday July 5 and 5pm on Monday July 8,” it said.

“Unknown quantity”

Police said that the tin was “light orange in colour” and held “an unknown quantity of money”.

The funds were supposed to be donated for a local appeal, although police could not specify the exact cause.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or DM us on social media quoting log reference 2400227444,” Gwent police added.

Last month, a trainee from a Well branch in Norfolk was spared prison after they were found guilty of stealing over a thousand boxes of diazepam in an eight-month period.
