Government restores compulsory use of face masks in England’s pharmacies

Face coverings will once again have to be worn in retail spaces – including pharmacies – and on public transport as part of new measures to contain the spread of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, the Department of Health and Social Care (DH) has announced.
These measures are “temporary and precautionary” Downing Street confirmed
A DH spokesperson confirmed to C+D today (November 29) that from tomorrow, the wearing of face mask in pharmacies in England will become mandatory again.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has proposed that people with long-term conditions – including obstructive sleep apnoea, schizophrenia and learning disabilities – are weighed annually.
Retail trade union Usdaw has revealed that Tesco workers, including pharmacy staff directly employed by the supermarket, will see a 5.2% increase in hourly pay from this month.
