Launched today (January 25), the pharmacy (P) medicine could encourage male patients with erection problems to visit their pharmacy, creating a sales opportunity for contractors, the manufacturer said.

The two-tablet version joins a Viagra Connect range that includes packs of four and eight tablets.

Alongside the launch of Viagra Connect two-tablet pack, Viatris is releasing training materials for the pharmacy team on how to “make the pharmacy more male friendly”.

One 50mg film-coated two-tablet pack of Viagra Connect retails at £10.99.
