C+D Data Subscriptions

Q
What is C+D Data?
A

C+D Data contains comprehensive and accurate product information including the PIP codes for over 90,000 products sold and dispensed in store and online. C+D Data is integrated into UK pharmacy’s PMR systems supporting several processes including ordering, Dispensing, Owing and Reporting.

C+D Data manages and maintains this dynamic database on behalf of the UK pharmacy industry to support everyday pharmacy processes and to facilitate an efficient and effective supply chain.

The C+D data team processes over 6,000 updates a month and distributes those across pharmacy and it's supply chain via electronic files, via the C+D Data website and via the Monthly Price List.

Q
What type of data is available in C+D Data?
A

C+D Data provides extensive datasets for pharmacy products including extensive product information, which is mapped to AMPP, VMPP, GTINs, Drug Tariff, BNF and the PIP code.

The PIP code is a unique coding system designed to allow the identification and efficient ordering of products supplied by UK pharmacies.

Q
How does C+D Data help pharmacies?
A

C+D Data is integrated into UK pharmacy’s PMR systems supporting you across several processes, allowing you to:

Order Accurately – look up and validate correct information. The unique PIP code is used by the entire pharmacy supply chain as the single source of order information meaning that you will not receive incorrect goods when using the PIP code to order.

Manage costs – access price changes and product information, compare retail and trade prices, and ensure consistent buying across stores.

Find alternative products – look up alternatives for out of stock products quickly and find new products in the market.

Save time – the C+D Database is mapped to DM+D, GTINs, Drug Tariff and more so you won’t need to look elsewhere: you can get all the product information you need in one place.

Q
Do I need a C+D Data licence? If so, why?
A

The C+D Data Licence allows you to use C+D Data within your PMR System. Over 1,100 manufacturers have around 90,000 products registered within our database www.cddata.co.uk. All payments to your system provider are separate to the licence required to use C+D Data. If you utilise C+D’s data (either via your pharmacy systems or via cddata.co.uk) you are required to have a valid subscription to the data.

The market-leading PMR systems are delivered to stores already containing C+D’s Data including the PIP codes. As an end user, pharmacies are accessing C+D’s data (including PIP codes) through these systems and require a licence with us to use it within your system.

Q
How do I purchase a licence?
A

There is a special C+D Data licence for physical pharmacies. We offer two subscription options; you can choose the one that is best suited to your business.

BASIC PREMIUM
It includes: It includes:
  • C+D Data license
