The eating disorder webinars take a maximum of 15 minutes to finish

The online eating disorders training – which is also aimed at dietitians and oral health teams – is a series of pre-recorded webinars delivered by healthcare professionals, HEE specified.

In the videos, the professional “outlines individuals’ lived experience in varied settings” and directs learners to further reading.

Learners can complete the training at their own pace, and the webinars take a maximum of 15 minutes to finish.

Among other things, pharmacy teams will learn how to identify different types of eating disorders, recognise their symptoms, and what to consider when helping patients who are experiencing them.

Eating disorders are common and anorexia nervosa has the highest mortality rate of any mental illness,” HEE added.

However, people have better chances of recovering from eating disorders if they receive the right support as early as possible, it added.

Pharmacy teams can access the training from the e-learning from healthcare webpage.
