MHRA approves second Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 booster vaccine

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority (MHRA) has approved a bivalent COVID-19 vaccine that targets the original strain of SARS-CoV-2 and two Omicron sub-variants.

The vaccine is approved for those aged 12 and over as a booster dose

The Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine is an updated booster and the second bivalent to receive approval from the medicines watchdog.
