Well leading the pack
According to NHSE data, 115 Well Pharmacy branches have been selected to administer COVID-19 boosters. This is just over double the amount selected to participate in last year’s booster programme.
Day Lewis followed, having registered 58 branches to provide the service.
Forty-nine Boots branches are currently offering booster jabs, compared to 55 last year.
Cohens, meanwhile, has put forward 52 branches, while Asda is administering COVID-19 jabs in 33 of its pharmacies.
A record number of sites – which besides pharmacies, include GP-led vaccination centres, larger vaccination centres, and hospital hubs – are delivering the COVID-19 vaccination pre-programme this year.
As of October 24, these sites had already administered more than 10 million booster doses of the new bivalent vaccine, according to NHS England.
