A 18-strong independent panel of judges whittled down 111 entries into a list of finalists across 14 categories. This year we have also introduced the Diversity and Inclusion Award, which looks to shine a light on vital work that is being done by pharmacy teams, organisations and individuals to challenge inequality in the sector.
The quality of entries for the Online Initiative of the Year Award category was so high that judges could not whittle down the shortlist to anything fewer than 13 amazing entries.
Yasmine Haq, GP practice and community pharmacist, commented: “I particularly enjoyed reading the entries for the online initiative category. It’s great to see social media platforms being used positively to provide educational content to trainees as well as other healthcare professionals.
"Out of the categories this definitely, for me, was the most challenging as all were worthy of the win.”
This year also sees the return for the fifth year in a row of the
Above and Beyond Award, which attracted entrants from across pharmacy, keen to showcase how they went the extra mile for their patients.
The
Above and Beyond vote opened on Friday (October 14) and C+D readers have until October 28 to vote online for the story of an individual or team going ‘above and beyond’, selecting who is most deserving of the trophy.
Voting for this category was highlighted last weekend at the Pharmacy Show (October 16-17), where attendees were able to vote for the most inspirational story live.
In addition, the biannual
Pharmacy Design Award returns to recognise pharmacies that have been given a face lift.
The winners will be announced at the ceremony at the Intercontinental O2 Hotel in London, on November 18.
