Well Pharmacy has partnered with WH Smith to open their first “one-stop shop” in a London train station, offering pharmacy products alongside news, books, and convenience products.

A qualified pharmacist will offer “personalised support and advice” to travellers at London Euston station, the multiple said in a statement yesterday (December 15).

Pharmacy (P) medicines and Well’s labelled products will be available at the store, which will also sell health and beauty products.

This is WH Smith’s first “combined pharmacy format store in rail”, the multiple said.

WH Smith and Well have previously partnered to open similar shops in other existing WH Smith travel stores.

A Well spokesperson told C+D today (December 16) that the pharmacy will employ two pharmacists, “supported by a team of pharmacy trained colleagues”.

“Access to healthcare essential”

Commenting on the partnership with WH Smith, Well operations director Louis Purchase said: “We’re really pleased to be able to support the health of people travelling through one of the busiest train stations in Europe.

“Our partnership with WH Smith will ensure customers on the go have access to healthcare essential.”

Andrew Harrison, WH Smith travel managing director, said this new store offers “the best in convenience retail with a one-stop shop solution for passengers on their journey through the station”.

“We have received great feedback from customers on the new store environment, product range and services offered, and we look forward to welcoming more customers over the coming months,” he added.

Well opened a branch in a WH Smith in Gatwick airport in 2019, and another one in the WH Smith store at Heathrow airport in August last year.
