Walsall-based Jhoots Pharmacy – which now owns 91 independent pharmacies nationwide according to its website – has already listed the three former Lloydspharmacies online.

According to a staff member at the branch on Halesowen Road, Dudley, it reopened as a Jhoots Pharmacy last Monday (January 15).

Another pharmacy on Brierley Hill, Dudley reopened on January 9, while a third on High Street, Kingswinford reopened on January 10, according to staff at the respective pharmacies.

The three pharmacies are part of the 190 “commercially unviable” Lloydspharmacy branches in England where parent company Celesio UK is ceasing trading. C+D has now confirmed the location of 29 of these pharmacies; the multiple would not confirm the remaining 161 branches.

Jhoots was unavailable to comment at the time of going to press.

Where else will Lloydspharmacy cease trading?

You can use C+D's map to view the location of each of the 29 Lloydspharmacy branches so far confirmed for closure or sale.

Branches confirmed for closure are marked in purple, while Lloydspharmacies up for sale are marked in blue. The branches that have been sold are marked in orange.

This map is live, and will be updated as C+D confirms the locations of further affected Lloydspharmacy branches.
