Manufacturer Clinova has sponsored an Olympic-style competition between healthcare professionals.

Clinova’s ORS hydration tablets would be the “official hydration partner” of the 36th annual World Medigames in Limerick, it said. The games, which take place from July 18-25, will involve doctors, nurses and pharmacists from 40 countries “competing in the Olympic spirit”, Clinova said.

Clinova and medicines distributor Pharmed UK would also sponsor a session on sports hydration at the Sports Medicine International Symposium, taking place alongside the games, it said.

ORS hydration tablets come in lemon, blackcurrant and strawberry flavours. The soluble tablets were gluten- and lactose-free and suitable for vegetarians, Clinova added.

A pack of 12 tablets retails at £4.99 and a pack of 24 tablets at £6.99.
